Where It started

Expondo had a strong brand and a clear mission, but inside the company something was missing: a voice that felt personal. People were surrounded by tools, machines, and expertise - yet the internal communication was flat. They needed a character that could pull the brand’s energy into everyday life.

What I wanted to build

The goal wasn’t to “add a mascot.” It was to give the brand a pulse. I wanted a character that could explain, cheer, remind, or simplify, without feeling childish or off-brand. Something playful enough to make people smile, but sharp enough to represent a company built around real-world professionals.

What I learned along the way

The starting point was Expondo’s bold “DO” mark. I took that shape and stretched it into a personality — the DOer. From rough pencil sketches to final animation, I shaped how it moved, reacted, and expressed itself. The palette stayed bright and energetic, but grounded in the company’s visual language. No gimmicks, no fluff. Just a character that felt at home next to serious tools and serious work.

What the work changed

The DOer turned into more than a design asset. It became a recognizable presence inside the company - a friendly voice for announcements, onboarding, updates, presentations. It made communication clearer and more human, and it gave the brand a shared reference point people actually enjoyed engaging with.
